Inshore Fishing

Delaware is home to an exciting inshore fishery with delicious table fair available year-round.

During the colder months, tautog are our primary target.

May 15th signals the opening of black sea bass season which runs through September.  May is also a great time of year to catch black drum as they make their way into the Delaware Bay to spawn.  These fish can run anywhere from 10 pound "puppy drum" to tipping the scales at over 80 pounds!

Shortly after that the flounder "fluke" season kicks into high gear.

As the inshore waters begin to warm in July, mahi mahi become available as well.  One of our specialties and favorite trips is to catch mahi mahi on light tackle then switch to bottom fishing for sea bass and flounder all in the same day.

Bluefish, spanish mackerel, and trigger fish can also be found on our inshore wrecks and reefs throughout the season.

Last but not least, and often a favorite for the kids, is our catch and release shark fishery.  You will be amazed at the size and number of sharks to be had just a mile off the coast.

Happy Clients!

This was my first time deep sea fishing. My family and I had the best time catching fish. The captain was amazing as the sea was really rough. We booked another trip this summer and we can't wait!

Off Shore Fishing

Offshore fishing in Delaware typically starts in May when warm water eddies bring bluefin and yellowfin tuna within our range.  This is an excellent opportunity to battle with one of the hardest fighting fish in the ocean and fill your cooler with delicious sushi grade meat.

On our tuna trips we will often deep drop for tilefish in 300-800' of water.  These are another incredibly tasty fish with a sweet white meat that is a result of one of their main food sources - lobster!

In late June and July the marlin and mahi mahi begin to show up providing the chance to do battle with the fish of a lifetime and put some delicious filets in your cooler.

Delaware and Maryland are home to some of the richest and most competitive sportfishing tournaments in the world.  If you are looking to add a little extra excitment to offshore fishing, please contact us about our tournament packages for both individuals or groups of anglers.  It may be more affordable than you think and you have a great chance of taking your catch to the scales and participating in the tournament atmosphere and potentially winning some money!
